Anti-money laundering policy

How we work to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions breaches: how we check who you are, review activity, and report suspicions.

1. Our commitment

QuantivoFx, operated by Quantivo Ltd, is committed to preventing the use of its services for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or any other financial crime. We keep policies, procedures and controls that are proportionate to the risk we carry, overseen by a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

Quantivo Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 55624915, registered office 220-224 Tottenham Ct Rd, London W1T 7PZ, United Kingdom. No financial services authorisation is held or claimed, and company registration is not a permission to carry on regulated business.

2. Customer due diligence

We check who you are before certain actions on your account, such as trading, a deposit or a withdrawal, depending on how the platform is configured. You can upload a photo or scan of your identity documents in the platform; we accept JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF files up to 8 MB. A person reviews them, usually within one working day. We may also ask for proof of address or for information about where the money you deposit has come from.

  • We do not open anonymous accounts, and we do not open accounts in a name other than your own.
  • We do not accept deposits from accounts that are not in your name.
  • We may ask you to confirm your details again if your circumstances change or if something about your account needs checking.

3. Enhanced due diligence

We apply enhanced measures where risk is higher: politically exposed persons and their close associates; customers connected to high-risk jurisdictions; unusually large or unexplained funding; and any account flagged by our monitoring. Enhanced measures include asking for more documents, approval by a senior person, checking the source of your wealth, and reviewing the account more often.

4. Ongoing monitoring

We check deposits, withdrawals and account activity against what we know about your account, using automated rules as well as review by our team. Anything unusual is investigated and recorded. We may ask you for more information about a deposit, a withdrawal or a pattern of trading.

5. Sanctions screening

We screen customers and payment counterparties against applicable sanctions lists when an account is opened and again as those lists change. Where we find a possible match, we investigate it. Where we confirm one, we will freeze the account and report it to the competent authority, and we may be legally prohibited from telling you.

6. Reporting suspicions

Where we know or suspect money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion, the law requires us to report it to the relevant financial intelligence unit or other authority and, in many cases, to refrain from carrying out the transaction. We may not be able to tell you that a report has been made. That is a legal obligation, not a choice we make.

7. Records and training

We keep identification, transaction and monitoring records for as long as the law requires after your relationship with us ends. Everyone who needs to work with these rules is trained on them, and we review our controls periodically.

8. What we ask of you

  • Give us accurate, current information and update it when your circumstances change.
  • Fund your account and withdraw from it only through accounts and methods in your own name.
  • Expect to be asked for documents about where your money has come from for larger or unusual transactions.
  • Reply promptly to our requests. An unanswered request may lead to a temporary restriction on your account.
  • Do not split transactions to avoid reporting thresholds, and do not act for undisclosed third parties.
